Our client faced difficulties with its existing retail software solutions, which operated on a slow framework and provided minimal functionalities for its users—hardly what premium customers look for in their high-value purchases.
Like its customers, when it came time to seek out a partner, the client’s expectations were high—a scalable platform featuring an intuitive interface and enhanced functionalities, with a seamless transition, providing enhanced speed and usability.
Solution
Our goal was to provide assistance in identifying technical solutions to optimize the client’s retail platform, deliver on the technology and application needs, and design better processes to ensure continued success.
Stage 1: Architecture Development
- Scalability Assessment and Planning: We conducted a comprehensive assessment of the client’s existing platform and determined that its complexity necessitated a complete code overhaul and the implementation of new technologies.
- Front-End and Back-End Overhaul: As part of a comprehensive renewal of the platform, we redesigned the interface to enhance user interaction and aesthetic appeal and upgraded the system to improve performance, scalability, and user-friendliness.
- Transition to Single-Page Application (SPA): To ensure scalability, we performed a comprehensive assessment of the platform’s needs and determined that its complexity required a complete code rewrite and the adoption of new technologies.

Stage 2: Features Extension and Optimization
- Support and Expertise: Throughout the platform extension phase, we consistently delivered robust support and technical expertise to the client, facilitating a seamless and efficient transition as new features were integrated.
- Additional Functionalities: We implemented a product ranking automation tool that sorted products by the client’s targeted needs and promoted specific brands. Additionally, we introduced a product information management system to manage all product details.
- Payment and Shipping: We integrated Klarna as a payment method and configured payments to be country-based, enabling specific payment methods and bonus schemes. We also enabled new shipping options, customizable by country, with new delivery partners.
- User Experience Enhancement: Our “shop the look” feature that allowed users to purchase entire outfits based on website photos, while integration of a search-as-a-service platform enabled users to filter products by brand, color, and size, significantly improving the shopping experience.
The extension and optimization of the platform provided our client with advanced features and tools, greatly enhancing their ecommerce capabilities and elevating user satisfaction. Additionally, we improved the look and feel of the website with a new, custom-made UX design, further enhancing the overall user experience.
Stage 3: Continuous Improvement
To further enhance customer retention, we collaborated closely with the client’s SEO expert to implement several key features and significantly boost search engine rankings over an extended period.
We also developed and integrated a sophisticated return system that enabled seamless, automated returns directly through the shop. This enhancement streamlined the return process for both customers and the client.
Finally, we developed a system allowing customers to create multiple wishlists, integrated with automated emails to improve customer retention and engagement, providing personalized recommendations and updates based on their wishlist activity.
