Solution

Our objective was to ensure a smooth transition to a new and scalable ecommerce platform, with a user-friendly interface and updated functionalities according to the users’ needs in this market. After careful consideration, our team concluded that the best approach would be to tackle this in phases.

STAGE 1: Architecture Development

During the development process, ensuring the scalability of our client’s platform became a priority. After assessing the needs, it was established that the platform’s complexity necessitated code rewriting and the integration of new technologies. Opting for a single-page application (SPA) provided the flexibility to incorporate a broader array of tools and functionalities, enhancing the overall online experience for users.

We’ve managed to renew the platform by changing the previous front-end interface and improving the back-end system. Our new software solution not only transformed our client’s previous online fashion platform but also rendered it faster, more scalable, and significantly more user-friendly.

During this journey, we cultivated a strong partnership and maintained swift communication channels with our client, solidifying trust and ensuring seamless collaboration.

STAGE 2: Features Extension and Optimization

We’ve continued to provide support and technical expertise for the client during the platform extension phase.
Once we revamped a scalable ecommerce platform, we also introduced features like ‘Shop the Look’ and Algolia (a dedicated software for search engines used to filter products based on brand, color and size).
Other features and functionalities implemented:

  • a tool for pricing automation that can sort products by the brand’s purchase price
  • Content Management System to manage all the product details
  • ‘Shop the look’ functionality based on website photos and product recommendations.

Outcomes

Our new software solution helped our client turn its previous online fashion platform into a fast, integrated, scalable ecommerce platform with a more user-friendly interface. At the moment those over 250k monthly visitors can find over 180 luxury brands featured on the platform. Additionally, the whole infrastructure was migrated to AWS, where the cost was also optimized – from 10k to 5k monthly.
