Concentrix Costa Rica Goes Carbon Neutral
Green Innovation Strategy Promotes Energy Efficiency
San Jose, Costa Rica - September 9, 2009 - Concentrix Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of SYNNEX Corporation (NYSE: SNX) announced today that the company's location in San Jose, Costa Rica has engaged with the Costa Rican Ministry of Environment to gain certification as a "Carbon Neutral Company".
This pioneering achievement, unique in the business process outsourcing services industry, was earned after a focused effort by the company to adopt practices that reduce or eliminate green house gas emissions. To achieve compliance, the Concentrix Costa Rica contact center focused on the following activities:
- Promote the use of mass transit
- Educate employees on the importance of waste reduction
- Tree planting with a local school
- Develop environmental leaders within the company
- Help other companies adopt similar practices
"Our green innovation strategy has many benefits," said Manfred Kissling, General Manager of Concentrix Costa Rica.
